Welcome! Here at Cynthia House you will be living with fellow alcoholics and addicts who are here to learn a new way of life. While living at Cynthia House your responsibilities are to stay clean and sober, to be working a 12 step program of recovery, to actively participate in house affairs, and to achieve personal and financial responsibility in your life.
The management is here to keep a sober and clean environment for those truly trying to change their way of life from old to new behaviors. Trust is not given—trust is earned! You must earn our trust during your probationary period. The rules and guidelines are simple disciplines you will be expected to practice while you are here. By practicing these disciplines you can achieve an improved lifestyle. We expect you to make a commitment to stay here for a minimum of 90 days and to do your best to make the house work. As you progress to senior status, we expect you to take on more responsibility for the new persons moving into the house, and show them, by example, a good program and lifestyle.
